Welcome to Filitosa Farm located in central Wisconsin, Stevens Point.  At Filitosa Farm we selectively breed, train and sell quality sporthorses.  With temperament and rideability matched with talent, our horses excel at dressage and eventing, which are our main disciplines. 

We take pride in finding, producing and training young prospects.  Over the years we have gained expertise in starting the youngsters both on the ground and under saddle resulting in wonderful safe mounts with a good work ethic and rideability.

Farrier Services: in house

The Farm is happy to announce that Karl Shewmake has passed his Natural Balance Farrier certification exams, both for horseshoeing(CNBF) and barefoot trimming(CNBBT).  These exams were taken over 2 days, both written and practical, trimming, forging and shoeing horses out in Penrose, Colorado.  Karl has been taking care of horses feet for last 5 years following the guidelines and teachings of Gene Ovnicek and the Equine Lameness Prevention Organization.  Go to their website www.E-HoofCare.com for more info.  Karl has also learned from Red Renchin out of Mequon, Wi,  Dean Johanningmeier at the UW Vet School and multiple seminars, clinics including the International Hoof-Care Summit in Cinncinatti, Ohio.   CONGRATULATIONS, Karl.

Sibelius: 

Our yearling colt continues to develop into an outstanding prospect for dressage and jumping/eventing.  His German import dam, Delphine, is by Donnerschwee out of a De Niro mare.  His sire is Sir Sinclair of Iron Springs Farm. .  He seems to float above the ground, his feet only landing to gracefully take off again.  We have high hopes for this little guy.

Lieca

Filitosa Farm’s German import mare Lieca, has had an uneventful pregnancy and due to foal soon.  Lieca is by Landor S out of TinRocco mare, Majolika.  Lieca is bred to Rousseau from Hassler Dressage,LLC.
